Dysport is a prescription only medicine which contains the active ingredient Clostridium botulinum type A toxin-haemagglutinin complex indicated for severe primary hyperhidrosis of the axillae, which does not respond to topical treatment with antiperspirants or antihidrotics.

Step-by-step guide to preparing Dysport:
- Prepare the equipment:
- Ampoule of Dysport powder.
- Diluent (usually 0.9% saline or water for injection).
- Syringe and needle for reconstitution (e.g., 21G or 23G needle).
- Syringe for administering the solution.
- Sterile gloves.
- Cotton pads and disinfectant.
- Reconstitution:
- Ensure that all tools are sterile.
- Gently open the ampoule containing the Dysport powder.
- Draw the appropriate amount of diluent into the syringe. Usually, between 1.0 and 2.5 ml of saline is used, depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations or the doctor’s instructions.
