  Step-by-step guide to preparing Dysport:

  1. Prepare the equipment:
     • Ampoule of Dysport powder.
     • Diluent (usually 0.9% saline or water for injection).
     • Syringe and needle for reconstitution (e.g., 21G or 23G needle).
     • Syringe for administering the solution.
     • Sterile gloves.
     • Cotton pads and disinfectant.
  2. Reconstitution:
     • Ensure that all tools are sterile.
     • Gently open the ampoule containing the Dysport powder.
     • Draw the appropriate amount of diluent into the syringe. Usually, between 1.0 and 2.5 ml of saline is used, depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations or the doctor’s instructions.
     • Gently swirl the ampoule to fully dissolve the powder. Avoid vigorous shaking to prevent damaging the product.
  3. Verify the dissolution:
     • Make sure that the Dysport has dissolved completely and is free of lumps. The solution should be clear.
